Meet Piper

 Our Longtime Mascot, Piper

We are heartbroken to share that our beloved Piper, the official mascot of Highlands Golf Park, has passed away. Our sweet black lab was just shy of 17 years old and joined Gretchen at the Highlands when she was a tiny, 8-week-old puppy. Through the early mornings, long hours, countless celebrations, and everything in between, Piper loved spending time with everyone at the Highlands — she never met a stranger! She brought joy, comfort, and a wagging tail to our business every single day. Customers loved seeing her, kids asked for her by name, and she was a constant, gentle presence that made our space feel like home.

After a long and wonderful life, we made the difficult decision to let her go peacefully on May 18th as her body was simply tired. She left this world surrounded by love, just as she lived. We are deeply grateful to Dr. Jennifer Magill of Skyline Veterinary House Calls for her compassionate care and for allowing Piper to pass gently and peacefully in the comfort of the golf shop (Piper's happy place). Thank you to everyone who knew her, loved on her, and brought her treats over the years. She was more than a dog — she was family, and she was the heart of the Highlands for so many of us.

Pipers Presents

As you can see in the above video, Piper loved to greet customers in the pro shop and fetch golf balls when the range is cleared for her.  Piper's FAVORITE time of year was from her birthday at the end of August until the end of September when we hold her Annual Piper's Presents Fundraiser!  To honor her birthday, and her legacy, Highlands will continue to conduct this month-long fundraiser to collect food, toys, treats, money, and other pet supplies for local Greene and Madison County animal shelters.

Please watch for this annual fundraiser event in August through September on our FACEBOOK and INSTAGRAM page and find out how you can support this very worthy cause.
